Vanessa Elliott

Born and bred a California girl, Vanessa has always appreciated the outdoors of her beautiful, sunny state. In fact, she attributes much of her admiration of science to the earthly lessons Mother Nature so seeded in the years of her youth. In middle school, Vanessa was particularly intrigued by particle physics and took on reading mystifying physics novels that flew way over her inquisitive little head. Now at Berkeley, Vanessa continues to search for more understanding of the physical sciences and hopes to graduate with a major in film and physics. She encourages anyone interested in life not to pass up the opportunity of fully experiencing science with a fun and educated group of peers and leaders through the Compass Project. Never has another program offered her so many opportunities and such sincere support even after its two-week span. Best to all new Compass Projectees and Go Bears!
