For incoming transfer students majoring in Astronomy, Earth and Planetary Sciences, or Physics, Compass is a great way to make sure that you have the community that you need to thrive.

We offer a range of programs and courses, visible on the Current Undergrads page, which are intended to help our a broad range of Undergrads in the Berkeley physical sciences.

The Transfer Course

Most importantly, we offer a special Junior Transfer Course. The goal of this course is to help you acclimate to Cal, get prepared to do research, and develop some mentoring relationships for you to depend upon for your success. Run by one Graduate student and one Senior Transfer student, you will have support and guidance which you can be sure will be relevant to your success as a Transfer student in Physics, EPS, or Astro.
